The Aghoghovbia Market-to-Market Campaign Organisation has expressed sadness over the death of former Delta State Governor, Dr Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan, describing his passing as a significant loss to the state.
The organisation, which supports the re-election campaigns of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, conveyed its condolences in a statement issued by its convener, Chief Mrs Grace Aghoghovbia, PhD.
Aghoghovbia said the death of the former governor had deprived Delta State of a prominent figure whose years in public service would remain part of the state’s political history.
She extended her sympathies to the Uduaghan family, friends, associates and the people of Delta State, urging them to draw comfort from the memories and legacy of the deceased during this difficult period.
According to the statement, the passing of a former governor and statesman is a moment of grief for the state and all those who valued his contributions to public life.
Aghoghovbia also called on well-wishers to support the bereaved family with prayers and encouragement as they cope with the loss.
The organisation prayed for the peaceful repose of Uduaghan’s soul and expressed solidarity with his family and the wider Delta community.
Uduaghan, who governed Delta State from 2007 to 2015, died on October 19, 2026, at the age of 71, according to an announcement by his family. Before becoming governor, he served as the state’s Commissioner for Health and later as Secretary to the State Government.
His death has drawn condolences from political leaders and other public figures, with tributes reflecting on his years in government and his contributions to Delta State.
The Aghoghovbia Campaign Organisation joined other mourners in extending its deepest sympathies to all those affected by his passing.
