PDP Reaffirms Support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Ahead of the 2027 General Election
The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) hereby announces its endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), for the 2027 General Election in the overriding interest of the peace, unity, stability and progress of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
This decision is founded on our conviction that the national interest must always take precedence over partisan considerations. At critical moments in the life of every nation, responsible political actors must rise above party lines to support policies and leadership capable of advancing the collective good of the people.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has demonstrated confidence in our leader, the Honourable Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Chief (Barr.) Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, whose visionary leadership and remarkable transformation of the nation’s capital have earned widespread commendation from Nigerians across political divides. The massive infrastructural renewal, improved public services and developmental projects executed under his administration have significantly enhanced the socio-economic landscape of the FCT.
We also recall the spirit of cooperation demonstrated during the recent FCT Area Council elections, where our candidates stepped down in support of the APC in the interest of continuity and development. We believe that the same commitment to patriotism and national unity should guide our actions as the country prepares for the 2027 General Election.
The PDP acknowledges the ongoing economic reforms and development agenda of the Tinubu administration. While these reforms have presented challenges and demanded sacrifices from Nigerians, we believe they are intended to reposition the nation’s economy, strengthen key institutions and lay the foundation for sustainable growth and long-term prosperity.
In view of the foregoing, we consider it appropriate to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in seeking a second term in office to consolidate the gains of the ongoing reforms and accelerate national development.
Accordingly, we call on all PDP members, supporters, stakeholders and well-meaning Nigerians across the federation to work together in the interest of national progress by supporting the APC-led administration and the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 General Election.
We express our profound appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his commitment to national development and to our leader, Chief (Barr.) Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, for his outstanding leadership and the unprecedented transformation taking place in the Federal Capital Territory.
As we move forward together in the spirit of unity and patriotism, we reaffirm our commitment to a stronger, more prosperous and united Nigeria.
