GOMEP-NG Congratulates Ben Igbakpa on Appointment as Delta Director of Tinubu Door-to-Door Campaign

The Guild of Online Media Editors and Publishers of Nigeria (GOMEP-NG) has congratulated former member of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ben Igbakpa, on his appointment as the Delta State Director of the Door-to-Door Campaign for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In a statement jointly signed by its National President, Comrade Akpovoke Otiti, and National Secretary, Clinton Uba, the Guild described the appointment as a recognition of Igbakpa’s leadership capacity, wealth of political experience, and unwavering commitment to grassroots mobilisation and democratic participation.
According to GOMEP-NG, the former lawmaker has consistently demonstrated the qualities of a dedicated public servant through his years of service in both elective office and community development initiatives. The Guild noted that his ability to connect with people at the grassroots and build consensus across different communities makes him well-positioned to coordinate the campaign across Delta State.
The statement expressed confidence that Igbakpa possesses the organisational skills, strategic vision, and extensive political network required to effectively drive the door-to-door campaign and strengthen public engagement with the administration’s policies and programmes.
GOMEP-NG further stated that grassroots campaigns remain an important aspect of democratic participation because they provide opportunities for direct interaction between political leaders and citizens. The Guild said such engagements help promote public awareness, encourage civic participation, and deepen democratic values.
The Guild also expressed optimism that Igbakpa would deploy his experience in public service to mobilise support for President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, while promoting peaceful political engagement, inclusiveness, and issue-based campaigns throughout Delta State.
While congratulating the former federal legislator, GOMEP-NG urged him to approach his new responsibility with fairness, dedication, and a commitment to strengthening democratic institutions. The Guild wished him success in the assignment and reaffirmed its support for initiatives that promote responsible political communication, national unity, and sustainable democratic development in Nigeria.
